No, the Multi is a much older thing; it's a single-speed bike with an adjustable drive pulley that alters the gear ratio. Zenith had a similar thing called a Gradua. Ever ajusted the fanbelt on a Volkswagen? You move shims from inside to outside to slacken the belt, and the reverse to tighten it. Like that but with a winding handle on. D.
