Here's what Jim Greening had to say when writing about the National Motorcycle Museum in  the February 1985 issue of Cycle:

Not really fair, I think, but simply a brand new motorcycle design that didn't get enough development time before release, a mistake a few Japanese companies were guilty of too. The Yamaha TX750 and Suzuki TL1000 come to mind. The Hesketh was a startup which always seem suffer from lack of funds and time.

Armoured motorcycle concept. Triumph 3SW

 Another attempt at mounting a machine gun on a motorcycle, this one is built on a 250cc Triumph 3SW and seems to consider the safety of the operator more than most I’ve seen.

This was apparently prototyped during the post Dunkirk crisis in England. The right side was covered with 1/4" steel plate and the idea was to provide a soldier with a way to carry a Bren Gun to some point and set up with cover provided by the armour plated bike. The unarmoured left side shows the box with spare barrel extra ammunition and a counter weight to balance the armour plate.
