Visual parts chart for vintage cars


 People immediately create jargon for their objects of interest, causing confusion among newcomers and less experienced people.  This collection of line drawings shows descriptions of parts and features of veteran cars. The list first appeared in the "National Used Car Market Report" probably from the mid twenties.

Handcrank grinder



Here's another handy little farm-type tool, clamps onto anything solid and with its 11-1 crank ratio, you can soon have the 4" wheel turning at a useful speed. Whether you can continue to do so while trying to accurately sharpen the knife blade you're holding with your other hand, I'm not sure. No name anywhere on the device, which used to be a nice forest green.

I can't identify the model its actually from, but four valve and liquid cooled, it must be fairly modern...
