We saw several vintage cars doing tourist duty in Paris, still, if the sidecar tours are booked up, the next best thing might be a Citroën Traction Avant, Very classy ride- nicer my mind than the more usual 2CV.

Made in Haiti? I was sent this photo (attributed to Private Lugnutz over at the Garage Journal) and couldn’t believe it…have not been able to find any info at all, but I'd sure love to hear more about that venture.

The telephone was patented in 1876. It caught on quick, by the mid eighties, telephone lines were strung everywhere.
By 1885, Boston and New York were connected, by 1892, Chicago to New York. New York to San Francisco took a little longer, that occurred in 1915. There were 47,900 telephones in use in the USA in 1900.
