Tank Corps Memorial Monument

Near Contalmaison, France there is a monument at the location tanks were first used on the battlefield.  A simple roadside obelisk features bronze plaques honouring the men of the tank corps and scale models of different WW1 tanks.

Steam Donkey seen at Museum of sail, power and steam in Rockland, Me. likely used onboard for hauling nets, the small belt runs the governor. I suspect that is not the original colour.

 Elijah Leonard was born in Syracuse NY. but moved to Ontario as a child, working frst with his father, but forming his own foundry and machine shop in London, Ontario in 1840. The company manufactured agricultural machinery at first, expanding to machinery for railways and steam powered equipment, reputedly building the first Canadian -made steam engine. His sons took over the company, keeping it in the family till after WW2. In the 1950s the company merged with the John Thomson company which closed during the 1960s.

Cen-tech wrench

This is only Cen-Tech tool I've run across, the quality is not notable. It appears that Cen-tech was an American manufacturer (thanks again, Garage Journal), the name at least acquired by Daido Corp. at some point. Looking online, the name also appears on tools from India, Japan and in this case, Taiwan.  It seems Harbour Freight has owned the name since 1992.

SS Normandie

The SS Normandie entered service in 1935, she almost immediately set a record for a transatlantic crossing in less than 100 hours, Le Havre to New York City. 

 During WW2 after the fall of France, the ship was commandeered by the US and was in the process of being converted to a troopship when it caught fire and capsized. It was a total loss. New York Daily News

 

Suzuki GS450/400

 This was a different styling direction for Suzuki, the big GSes had gone all swoopy for 1980, these 450 twins (400 TSCC in Canada) got this attractive look for only 2 years, after which they followed the Katana look.

Filson wrench

Here is nicely proportioned 9/16 wrench with another name I'm not familiar with. In this case a quick Google led to a Garage Journal thread.

 

Monday Mystery, Kit car

It looks like a design from the early days of fibreglass but the designer managed to avoid any sort of tailfins... To me it looks British, but it's left hand drive. Any ideas?    Found on Fbk Marketplace.
