Damn right! That's a serious misuse of at least three VW's! I remember way back when Popular Mechanics promoted a crafty scheme involving welding two of a particular make & model of automobile hood together and fitting plank seats to make a small row-boat. Sadly it drowned a few unwise dads and their poor kids...
When I was growing up a neighbour had a boat made from two (I believe) '40 Ford hoods welded together. No one seems to recall what happened to it but all family members were accounted for.
