The Horten 229 (shown here without its wings) was a German flying-wing twin-engine jet fighter in the last stages of development at the end of WW2. Several flights had been undertaken before the war ended. According to Wikipedia, the sole remaining prototype is on display in the Mary Baker Engen Restoration Hangar at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, VA.
