Revo Electric Company, Tipton, Staffs

Maureen Madden (Editor).  Letchworth Recollections.  Egon Publishers Ltd., 1995.

"You will be delighted with your results."  Can't get more understated than that.

Founded in 1907, REVO Electric Co. Ltd were manufacturers of control gear, lamps, and lanterns, brackets and columns. Their street lights were fitted all over Staffordshire. During the Second World War (1939-1945), the company became involved in weapons manufacturing, producing three types of hand grenade. The company was taken over by Duport in the 1950's, who in 1967 sold the goodwill, patents and trademarks to the English Electric Co.
