The 540 Roadster was one of the finest examples of a European sports car in the thirties. It was powered by a 5.4 litre inline 8 which produced 115 hp- or 180 when the supercharger was used. The supercharger was activated by depressing the gas pedal to the floor which then engaged the supercharger clutch. The car was capable of over 100mph.
419 were completed between 1936 and 1940.
