If this turn-of-the-last-century locomotive from Baldwin seems slightly atypical of the American manufacturer that's because the customer was the Egyptian State Railway. Although the British designed and built the railways of that country, occasionally manufacturers from other countries managed to sneak in an order even if they had to maintain the British look.
