Sidecar Sunday

Doesn't seem like very much front brake to haul down the weight of bike and sidecar and two riders from racing speeds.

Given the rules of its age bracket and displacement and class, the other competitors' brakes aren't any better. Adds to the fun, I guess.

Valid point. I have a friend who always said "You know, the XR200 was the greatest motorcycle I ever rode until some creep showed up at the trailhead with an XR250."

The picture is probably the late 50s- and the brake seems pretty much as big as they got back then, but as rats said, if they're all the same, it's ok. But I bet it took an awful lot of handgrip to work it for the entire race distance...

Nah: It would fade by the end of lap 2 and give your wrist tendons the rest of the race to recuperate.
