I couldn't determine whether this is a commercially made case or a one-off, though there are ones that are similar online.
I’m no musician, but as an occasional wood butcher I think it’s a bespoke cello case. I could be wrong but that’s my guess. Plus I have been looking for a chance to use bespoke in a sentence.
It's a good word! ;-) And it's a great piece of sculpture...
