Karlsplatz, Munich, then and now

Trams in the Karlsplatz, Munich in this undated but I'd guess early sixties, by the cars... Below modern times, streetcars replaced by a fountain and those $#@! electric scooters. Osram is still there.

Ghod that's a homely platz in its present form.

Per Google, the legend on the Osram building said something like "as bright as the brightest day."

Just below this translation, under "People Also Ask," was the (alleged) longest word in the German language: "Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsauf-gabenübertragungsgesetz," or ""Beef Labeling Supervision Duties Delegation Law."

Ahhh. Yes, I’m sure we’re all familiar with the BLSDDL!
