Maybe the poster is die cut, with a hole where we see black, and potential customers were invited to get behind it, assume the position, and admire themselves in a mirror. --rats

This would be about 10 years newer, I'd say. but details are lacking.:-)
I like that theory, but of the rider why is only one glove defined? (Futurist/Art Deco sensibilities I guess)
