This painting by Edouard Roux commemorates the passage of the Empress Eugenie, the wife of Napolean III on the Imperial yacht L'Aigle piloted by NapolĂ©on Coste, the first ship through the  canal.

I'm afraid that the painting you show doesn't show the French Imperial yacht 'Aigle' She had three masts and a single funnel and wasn't square rigged. 'Fraid I don't know which ship this is, but she's flying either Egyptian,or Turkish, colours, so definitely not French.
