Here's another old Bakelite instrument in an expensive leather case. The device accurately measures RPM by monitoring a mark on a spinning shaft or pulley using light emitted from the rocket engine-looking nozzles on the end. Seems a shame but these beautiful precision instruments sell for peanuts now... |

that thing looks cool. imagine taking it apart and
making it into a backlit storage box that attaches to the wall you open it up and your keys are on hooks inside it.
