Monday Mystery, sculpted clawfoot tub

Seen at a building salvage company, someone has gone to the trouble of carving away one side and part of the end of a clawfoot tub. There is a wooden deck cut to fit, but I'd really like to know what the sculptor was thinking...

I'd like to know what the person who put the price tag on it was thinking.

Seriously though I think maybe it's meant to have cushions and be used as a sofa/loveseat but those edges...

it's a cutaway clawfoot tub made by a cutaway enthusiast that probably specializes in bath & kitchen cutaway objects. they'll never find another bath cutaway enthusiast, so $500 needs to be cutaway to about $20.

I'll go with Dave's suggestion of a love seat, but with incontinence clearly a
factor, so hold the cushions...
