I've never seen "plasicated" fabric from Belstaff - likely because it all disintegrated and was swept up off the closet floor about the time I was born.
And you'd only ever wear it in the rain, anyway (wouldn't you? -- please say yes). So if you low-sided and slithered down the road on your belly, the plastic would not get warm enough to weld itself to your skin.

I have yer classic waxed-cotton Belstaff; combine with a bunnet for yer traditional trials wear! D.
Holy cats! If I'd a grasped that the Senior TT model was "world renowned in heavyweight black rubber-proofed beaverteen," I'd a bought two.

I'm even more confused now. If 'water-proofed' is the ability to repel water, what does 'rubber-proofed' do? And 'beaverteen' - whazzat?
