571 Squadron Royal Air Force (571 Sqn RAF) Mosquito ML963 - T/o at 21:37hrs. for mission to Berlin. Missing. Mosquito it was abandoned following an engine fire. 10.4.1945 Crew evaded four days in Germany until liberated. Both airmen rejoined their Sqn before the end of the month as 22.4.1945.

And VE day was the 8th of May. They got home just in time to see the end of the war.
