Consolidation in the aircraft industry, 1916

In September 1916 The Wright Martin Aircraft Corporation was formed to take over the stock of the Wright Company, the Glenn Martin company and the Simplex Auto Company. One of the first orders of business was to obtain the license to manufacture the Hispano Suiza V8 aircraft engine in the US.
