Bridgeport Hardware Co was started in 1899 in Bridgeport Conn. They produced official Boy Scout hatchets from 1934 till 1969. The head and handle were forged in one piece with a riveted wooden handle and had the Boy Scout logo stamped in the cheek of the head. This one was only $35, should have bought it.
