Buffalo Steam Engine Works
Its hard to tell exactly where this company was located, Washington and Ohio Streets don't meet anymore, that area on the waterfront appears to have been replaced by the Buffalo Skyway. Buffalo was incorporated as a village in 1816, was awarded the western terminus of the Erie Canal in 1825 and the area quickly became known for manufacturing. The Buffalo Steam Engine Works was part of that boom, incorporating in 1841. More stories here.
