Handy tip

Once upon a time maybe, not so much with riveted master links and O-ring chains... The EK version below might work...

Another oddball Mikuni

Quiz time: Only used on one model of motorcycle, in production for 3 years. Which bike used this carb? Answer in several hours...

The Suzuki Stinger 1969-71 was a horizontal two stroke twin that according to the owner's manual, used Amal carburetors, however it appears production bikes used a pair of these strange little things, the only downdraft carbs Mikuni made back in the day.

Bobcat Snowmobile

Here's something I've never seen before, a primitive version (quite possibly homemade) of the Bolens Hus-ski, a tractor-type snowmobile made in the early-mid sixties. It looks like a 4 stroke utility engine with belt and pulley drive to what seems to be a single track with wooden cleats split into two to accommodate the drive. The name on the pulley mount is Bobcat- nothing shows up in a Google search.

This apparently was being stored at a neighbour's and no one informed me it was for sale before it was sold!

Dazzle camo

Bruce Robertson, Aircraft Camouflage and Markings 1909-1954, Harleyford Publications, 1954

The heading on this image explained that the dazzle camouflage on this Felixstowe F2B seaplane was to help find the plane if it was forced to land on the water. The F2B was the open cockpit version of the F2A. This aircraft served from July to Armistice Day 1918.

Bush Baby

Bush Baby is the name on the hood but this is a fine blend of a Bren Gun Carrier (Universal carrier) and 1946 or '47 Ford truck.  I didn't get close enough to see how the drivers controls under the right side of the truck hood had been adapted to the new truck drivers position.

Little "c" clamps

Just a couple of little 2 and 2 1/2" decorative C clamps I picked up at a garage sale today, No identification on them except the cast-in diamond C on the frame on the right.
