Eterna-Matic watch, 1961

Continental Holiday.  The American Travel Guide to Europe.  New York, 1961.
Founded in Switzerland in 1856, Eterna was known for innovation.  The Eterna-Matic was a self-winding watch introduced in 1948, which used 5 ball bearings to wind the mainspring.  These ultimately became parts of the company's corporate logo.  It is now a part of the  Hong Kong based Citychamp Watch & Jewellery Group Limited.
