M3 (Lee, Grant) Medium tank variants

The welded hull
eliminated the possibility of rivets breaking off inside the hull and flying around when struck by an incoming round.
This hullcasting has no side entry, a later variant than above. That is one very large chunk of cast steel. I guess it would go on to the machining process next. I'd like to see the mill they used.
