GE Electronic Reproducer

Seen at a local yard sale.  Hot stuff first offered in 1946.  Apparently, it made use of a variable reluctance magnetic cartridge. (The closest I come to variable reluctance these days is when I'm looking at the household "to do" list.)  According to the ad, no needles to change and "a background of velvety silence."

Life, August 1947
