An old film reel I somehow acquired. It looks like it's from 1947. I don't know what's on it.
The Associated Screen News studio was initially an American venture until controlling interest was acquired by the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1921. During its existence, the studio produced the majority of newsreels, shorts and industrial films in Canada. In particular, it was responsible for two series, Kinogram Travelogues and Camera Rambles, which provided the few images that Canadians could see of themselves on the silver screen. The studio was acquired by Du-Art in 1958.
