Cast aluminum ashtray

Back when everyone smoked, ashtrays were a popular advertising giveaway, I remember as a kid admiring miniature rubber tire ashtrays that sat on every mechanic's desk or workbench. This is an very rare example from the 1930s from a German producer of driving school instruction posters and reading materials. The company is still very much in the business, (probably no ashtrays these days...)
