These wooden boxes appear on Etsy, sometimes with some of the shoe lasts but there doesn't seem to be much info on the actual company.
Good news here, the box is secondary, these lasts are going back to work. A friend associated with a local university industrial design department is finding there are students that want to learn how to design and make shoes!

Those are shoe anvils btw, not lasts. They were used by cobblers when they were nailing new soles onto old boots. They had to be made in every size because the nailing area along the perimeter was the part that had to be supported. That's probably why there are so many still around today. They won't be going back to work unless the you-know-what REALLY hits the fan lol.

Thanks for the anvil information, I don't know enough about the process. Doesn't hurt to have the students trying out long lost skills!
