I'm confused.

Penguins at the north pole?

And wasn't Scott an Antarctic explorer?

I agree. The caption from the book reads, "Cartoon depicting Peary and Scott arguing over who reached the North Pole first." Clearly, this is an error. The dispute was actually between Dr. Frederick Cook, who claimed to have reached the North Pole on April 21, 1908, and Commander Robert E. Peary who said he got there April 6, 1909. From what I've read, the jury is still out.

Maybe they could ask the penguins! I think this would fall under the category of "fake news".
