E.E. Josef clamp

Here's an interesting device. The right jaw has a rack and a swinging lock that is a partial worm gear. The left jaw slides in a channel till the object is clamped, then the lever is swung which engages in the rack and tightens up the last increment.

The company was located at 16 Perry Street, Buffalo, NY. from about 1908-1918 and seemed to make a range of diverse products..

It's hard to find a good pillow sham holder these days.

That one is in fact a flask clamp. Several would be used for holding two halves of a casting mold together. Easy-on, easy-off.
