Quali-kraft was a Japanese made tool brand made for the North American department store trade, the wrench looks and feels like a quality item. I'm not sure about the odd-shaped jaw cutouts, it looks like they are trying to contact the flats of the nut instead of the corners, and also a feature to "ratchet" the wrench on the nut. And it's "patent pending".

The weird jaw on the open end could be an attempt at a ratcheting open end wrench. Other manufacturers have tried it with limited success.
I have MAC brake pipe spanners that have a ratchet end. Works ok, but you have to loosen the nut before using it. I have some nice Peugeot wall-drive open-enders; they look odd. D.
If I can find a 5/8"nut I'll try the ratcheting feature.
