We used to make things in this country. #283: Stanley Hardware, New Hamburg, Ontario

I picked up this nice hinge set, still in its original box proclaiming its Canadian source.  The lovely word "Quincaillerie" is French for "hardware." 

Stanley Hardware, a division of Stanley Canada, originally operated out of Hamilton but in 1959 moved to new premises in New Hamburg.  Since 1998, that site has been home to Eurocan pet foods.  Stanley doesn't make products like this in Canada anymore.
