Draper Tools, England

I have a number of 1/2" drive Draper Whitworth sockets.  As far as I know, this brand was never commercially available in Canada.  I bought them from an engineer who had brought them with him when he emigrated from Britain. They're Japanese-made and I have to say that the quality is unimpressive, especially the plating.

Bert Draper started out selling government surplus tools in 1919, becoming a wholesaler for King Dick and other British tool companies.  They moved from Kingston Upon Thames to the Chandler's Ford location north of Southampton in 1963.  Their website includes a company history.
