Focke Achgelis FA 223

 A Wikipedia entry describes the use of the FA 223 to retrieve the wreckage of a Dornier DO 217 on the Vehner moor in May of 1944. These may be pictures of that event. (correction welcomed) 
The FA 223 Drache (Dragon) first flew in 1940 but although it was probably the most successful helicopter of its time it was fragile and needed much more development time to make it a viable tool. About twenty were built, but Allied air raids destroyed the factories where they were being constructed. After the war one was flown across the channel to England, someone must know its ultimate fate.
