Macintosh Introduction, 1984

Apple released the MacIntosh in January 1984 accompanied by this Superbowl ad, "1984". Pretty dramatic stuff.
For the equivalent of $6500 in today's money, you got a whopping 128k RAM with one floppy disc for storage. Sale were brisk despite the price (and the fact that there was no internet).
The introduction of the Macintosh predated Microsoft Windows which was released in November 1985.
