New Haven Railroad I-5 streamline locomotive 1406

Jumping on the streamline bandwagon, the New Haven RR bought 10 of these Hudsons from Baldwin in 1937, numbered 1400-1409 calling them the "Shore-line" class. View from another angle here.

There is a few of the old engines that tour the United States, and if you have the chance you must go. Seeing one and hearing one up close and in person is awesome. You cannot understand just how big, sturdily built, and beautiful they are until you are standing next to it. NOTHING on these weighs less than 100 pounds, not even the bolts, lol.
