Splitdorf was an American electrical company located in Newark N.J. that got into the automotive ignition component business early in the game, producing magnetos, sparkplugs, later generators and starter motors, becoming standard equipment for many US vehicle companies.
In 1923 they branched out into radios and were bought by Edison six years later, becoming the Splitdorf-Edison company.
