Hunting Percival Jet Provost 1957

Another nice illustration by an unknown artist (unless someone can read the 7 dots under the pilot's feet. )

The Jet Provost was developed as a trainer from the earlier propeller-driven Provost. Development began in 1951, the aircraft first flew in 1954 and it was adopted by the RAF a year later. Seven hundred thirty four were built before production ceased in 1967.

Percival Aircraft began in 1933, the company was sold to Hunting Aircraft in 1944. It was then taken over in 1960 by the British Aircraft Corporation.
