Monday mystery


 Here's another find with no markings on it anywhere, I'd guess something to do with leatherwork, but I'll put it out there for guesses!

It's not a race knife, that's a leather tool with a half moon blade. This is a timber scribe for marking wood, usually in the building process. It works like a pull gouge/scraper to make permanent marks (letters, numbers, symbols) The point is to help with O, P, S, etc like a dividers. hard to pull the gouge around tight corners.

I agree that it's a timber scribe, tree scribe, race knife, or whatever it was called in your local region (now it's called a can of spray paint lol). Here's what the complete tool looks like with the missing blade that fits into that slot:
