I received an email from someone who had worked on the Fokker F28 Fellowship, he says:
I worked on the Fokker F28 (Fellowships - though we never called them that) Their Rolls Royce engines were sparked by Lucas ignitions. In 5 years of working on them, I never saw a failed or unreliable ignition, except once and that was the fault of a failed ignitor (not Lucas brand).
If I remember correctly, some components of the fuel control system were also Lucas. No problem there either.

Beautiful cutaways of all the Lucas parts that will fail.
And that's not a coast to the side of the road situation!
All hail the Prince of Darkness
