Mixed feelings, I really don't like hammering on a vise but this one encourages it- but maybe that's ok. Only one thing to do, go buy one and try it out.
I see a flaw: the bare uncovered lead screw. There it sits, covered in oil or grease, where sawdust or metal filings are guaranteed to land on it and stick. And every opening and closing of the vise helps to drive the crud into the works.
I can understand leaving the screw exposed in the cheapest vises as a cost savings, but why oh why do it on an otherwise good quality vise?

For some unknown reason I really like this anvil vise! Seems like it would be very handy.
