Loosen-all by Whiz

Whiz was the brand name of the R.M. Hollingshead Corporation.  In 1888 the founder started his chemical company with a leather harness oil. He soon had various waxes and oils in the line and when  the new horseless carriage came along he introduced the Whiz brand name for the new market. The first products were an oil for the canvas tops and side curtains and also a waterless handcleaner. By 1920, there were 98 automotive products coming out of the Camden New Jersey plant, Loosen-all penetrant and lubricant being one of them. In 1927 a Canadian branch was opened by the founders son in Bowmanville. The company was acquired by Dayco in 1969.
