Adjustable file handle





This is a clever little tool.  Turn the ribbed end, and the two jaws at the other end open or close to hold the tang of a file.  It can also be used to hold a hacksaw blade.  It works like the chuck on a hand brace.  Unfortunately, no maker's name.

I found this page on a Google search for file handle - the same search threw up an image of a similar handle stamped GENERAL in an oval cartouche, with Pat 2,479,661...
