Happy Canada Day!

The Warplane Heritage Museum  celebrated Canada's 153rd birthday by flying their Lancaster, (one of two in the world) around the Toronto-Hamilton area.  Their Toronto flights usually involve flying directly over our house as they circle the CN tower. We haven't seen (and heard) this airplane yet this year and sure miss it flying overhead. Good to see it!

We normally get a B-17 here but no joy this year. Good to see the Lanc making the rounds, now all we need is sound:)

Great sound, it's a highlight in our house and we all run outside to enjoy it.

I live next to an airbase operating SIAI Marchettis SF.260s, almost exclusively.
Noise pollution doesn't get any better than this, quite soothing in fact :-)

I've seen a bumper sticker, "I love airplane noise".
We had another treat later yesterday, a pair of Harvards flew over, Texans to our American friends. My kid came running out, "I heard that, what was it?" He's learning...

I live a couple of kilometres away from the Richmond RAAF base - when the C-17's take off or land it is always impressive:
