Making a show out of the arrival of the first Vickers Viscount to join the BEA fleet.
The stage coach arrival is providing a bit of history, the helicopter symbolizing the coming airport-to-city center shuttle service. Those must have been calm horses.
The medium range Viscount, introduced in 1948, was powered by 4 Dart turboprops, carried 40-50 passengers and was the pride of airlines all over the world till the jets arrived.
