Rolls Royce, found in the wild...


I believe this is a Silver Wraith, a model built between 1946 and 1958. I would describe the styling as "staid".

Were they using GM transmissions that far back? The only Rolls I've driven [/humblebrag] had one, but it was a '74.

Seems like they used the Hydramatic right from the beginning. I actually expected the Powerglide to have been the first GM auto transmission!
