Cast iron toolbox

This cast iron toolbox came off a Frost and Wood (previous Frost and Wood post herefarm implement of some sort, I will find out what 941 signifies. Seen at the antique store, the latch mechanism was seized up, painted in place so the lid wouldn't open. I have to admit part of the reason I bought it was the challenge of getting it open!

Glad all the evils of the world didn't come flying out when you got it open.

Might this odd-seeming box have bolted semipermanently to, like, a tractor's frame & contained a kit of tools specific to the tractor's needs?

No evils but no treasure maps either! And certainly no gold coins:-) This toolbox would have been carriage bolted to the frame of probably a horse drawn sickle mower.
