Illinois Central Green Diamond

The Green Diamond was a streamlined passenger train that ran between Chicago to St Louis, Missouri.
The service first ran started in 1936 using this fixed-consist streamliner designed by Pullman-Standard, consisting of 5 cars, all- including the locomotive- being permanently attached. To my eye, not the most attractive of early streamliner designs.
In 1947, it was retired in favor of a conventional diesel locomotive with separate passenger cars.
