Steam powered hearse?


 
Really don't know what to make of this thing. Seemingly a horse-drawn hearse powered by a steam engine and outfitted with a cowcatcher, the display at "The House on a Rock" had no explanation. It might simply be someone's idea of a joke, but the drive did look like it could be operational.

It's just more steam punk wank.
Those people are really annoying, look-at-me egotists.
They've ruined a lot of good artifacts too, these pictures are a sad case in point.

Apparently it was built in the 1980s by woodworker Mike Olp for Alex Jordan’s bizarre collection. I'm not too familiar with the history of steampunk but isn't that early for the genre?
